Accelerated launches of two new and fully integrated R2S workflow capabilities are set to deliver deep integration and workflow streamlining in response to global demand in unprecedented times.

The digital asset and data management specialist Asset Information Services (AIS), has accelerated the launch of two specialist workflow technologies in response to changing client work patterns from the COVID-19 pandemic. The technologies, R2S Connect portal and an IBM Maximo integration, provide enhanced support for remote asset management and operational efficiency.

The new R2S Connect portal provides on-site and remote users with a secure browser-based upload tool for any format of imagery, including self-capture, laser scans, UAV survey data and standard photography for processing into new or existing R2S digital twin models. Once uploaded, Microsoft Azure cloud technologies provide storage and security before the data is processed and imported to its virtual site location in R2S. The R2S Connect portal is anticipated to save clients time and money whilst enhancing collaboration with a fast, always-on capability, for quicker evergreening of digital twin models.

A new IBM Maximo integration allows R2S clients to see their Maximo data, such as anomalies, automatically replicated in R2S and virtually located on site. Currently being adopted by a global supermajor, it is anticipated to provide immersive locational context to anomaly data, helping drive more efficient completion of maintenance backlog tasks.

Commenting, Martin MacRae, R2S technical director:

“We’re accelerating solution development and readiness in response to client requests. These, first in a series of new technologies and capabilities, provide immediate support to high risk and critical infrastructure businesses where travel is curtailed and budgets limited.”
